About the fabrics used by Spark

CoolMax®: a synthetic fiber produced by DuPont®. This fiber allows the skin's perspiration to evaporate more rapidly by passing to the outer layer 50% faster than any other synthetic or natural fiber. The result is a better breathability, which assists the temperature regulation of the skin and increases your comfort level even in extremely hot conditions.

Cordura®: When put to the test, Cordura resists tears and abrasions like no other fabric of its kind. Ounce for ounce, Cordura is more durable than other fabrics. It's resistant to abrasions, tears, and scuffs — all the qualities you expect from a high-performance fabric.

Cotton: the most famous natural fiber in the world—and it's soft, has insulating power, won't provoke allergic reactions, is comfortable to wear, has perfect breathability, and is durable for frequent washing. Cotton is an ideal partner for clothing that is worn close to the skin, such as underwear and sports active wear.

Dryarn®: when compared to others of equal coverage, Dryarn® gives garments a pleasant sense of lightness. It covers more than an equal weight of other fibersᾹboth natural and syntheticᾹgiving a higher yield. Dryarn has a unique insulating power, even greater than wool, so is inclined to maintain the body's natural temperature and protect from heat and cold. Dryarn does not undergo changes when attacked by bacteria, mildew, moths, insects, and other micro-organisms. And stains can be easily removed with an ordinary detergent.

Lenzing Modal®: is the luxury cellulose fiber, which allows skin to breathe freely. This fiber absorbs up to 50% more humidity than cotton and encourages quicker evaporation to keep the skin dry, so it can breathe. With Micro Modal, your favorite garments remain brilliant in their colors, and pleasantly soft and smooth even after many washing cycles. Because Micro Modal is made of 100% pure cellulose, an essential component of all plants, it gives a feeling of "skin on skin".

Lycra®: a fiber by DuPont® that's always used with others fibers. Lycra provides elasticity and dimensional stability to improve the wearability of garments. These properties provide comfort and guarantee unchanged features for long time. Lycra can be stretched up to seven times its length and return to its the original length.

Meryl® Actisystem: is an innovative, versatile, and high-performance fiber system designed for an active lifestyle. The fibers have an open-weave textile structure that facilitate the transport of body moisture and increase the drying speed of the fabric. The skin stays dry in any environment, and is lightweight, soft, supportive, and protective.

Silk: Silk reflects light with a unique brightness and easily absorbs tones with a great range of subtle shades. The elasticity of the silk filament renders this fabric particulary durable and simple contact with air allows it to maintain its freshness also without ironing. Its softness allows for perfect hanging of hems and easy drapery. Silk shouldn't be exposed to direct sunlight and stains with sweat, but is nonallergic and retains body heat.

Supplex®: is a new nylon fiber by DuPont®. This fabric, made by finest filament, is very soft to the touch much like a natural fiber, and is breathable. Supplex has a high elasticity to create comfortable, strong garments. It also offers wind protection, breathability, and lightness.

Tactel®: is a technical-dynamic fiber—it has high elasticity, is easy to care for, and makes clothes soft, featherlight, luxurious, and incredibly comfortable to wear. It has insulating power—absorbing humidity and eliminating heat, making it a great fabric for sportswear.

Thermolite®: is a technical material made by DuPont® that maintains optimal levels of warmth and provides a feeling of well-being in the worst conditions. It has an excellent ability to allow perspiration to evaporate leaving the skin dry. Its softness is particularly pleasant to the touch. Thermolite is machine washable and maintains its technical and aesthetic qualities even after much washing, making it the ideal fabric for sportswear.

Viscose: is a natural fiber that's soft, light, and has pleasant touch to the skin, with no pilling. It's perfect breathability helps maintain the body's natural temperature. Viscose is another ideal partner for clothing that is worn close to the skin, such as underwear and sports active wear.

Windless®: a technical fabric that is windproof, waterproof, and breathable. The high breathability and the total waterproofness of Windless make it the ideal clothing fabric for sport and outdoor activities that take place in variable weather conditions. It keeps the skin dry in both summer and winter. Its characteristics also remain unchanged as time passes.
